Artist Statement
I learned the native pottery tradition of my indigenous pueblo from my Father and Godfather. My current work is based in that Nicoyan Indian heritage but I consider myself as a contemporary artist working from a native foundation. My use of color, geometry and contemporary ideal are my personal stamp on top of what I have learned from family apprenticeships.
