Artist Bio
For my entire life people have called me Butch. Not sure why, but it seemed to be a popular nickname in the 1950s, the decade of my birth.

For as long as I can remember I’ve had a fascination with photography. My first camera was a Brownie Hawkeye my mother handed down to me in the early 1960s. Joy my wife, gave me my first “good” camera for our first anniversary in 1971. Life has not been the same since. Many, many cameras later, I still love just holding my camera and making photos.

I was in electronics for many years before entering the ministry and ultimately serving as the media consultant for the International Mission Board in Western Europe. After many years as an enthusiastic amateur, I decided to make photography my full-time job.
